A questionnaire on cost of crime can be downloaded from this page. It is placed here in preparation of a European seminar on cost of crime. The questionnaire is meant to be filled out by the national representatives of the European Crime Prevention Network and the experts they appoint.

Dear Colleague
The Finnish National Council for Crime Prevention, in co-operation with the Swedish NCCP and the European Forum for Urban Safety, is organising European Seminar on Costs and the Distribution of Costs of Crime and Disorder and Crime Prevention to be held in Helsinki 1-2 April 2004.
In course of preparing this seminar, we are collecting information on cost of crime in EU Member States. Our intention is to present and discuss the results of the enclosed questionnaire in the seminar.
We are aware that the enclosed questionnaire is relatively extensive and that many of the questions cannot be answered based on present information. This is why we are looking for information on cost items in alternative ways and means that make it possible to present estimations when accurate information on the subject is limited.
Most likely the filling of the questionnaire requires a co-operation of several persons/organisations and this is why we are hoping that the questionnaire is forwarded to those possessing the best qualifications of answering any particular questions.
We are hoping that the filled questionnaires would be sent during February to hannu.takala@om.fi
