The follow-up report / National Crime Prevention Programme (24 th Jan, 2003) The monitoring of the National program has been the task of the Ministry of Justice as well as giving a follow-up report by the end of 2002. The National Council for Crime Prevention has assisted the Ministry in these functions. The follow-up report was prepared by the Council and released over to the Ministry on the 24th January, 2003.
Chat Safely -campaign (18 Dec 2001) The National Council for Crime Prevention, the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the Association of Home and School in Finland have initiated a poster campaign called "Chat safely", in December 2001. The purpose of the campaign is to protect children and juveniles from dangers associated with chatting through the internet.
European Cost of Crime Inquiry 2003 A questionnaire on cost of crime can be downloaded from this page. It is placed here in preparation of a European seminar on cost of crime. The questionnaire is meant to be filled out by the national representatives of the European Crime Prevention Network and the experts they appoint.
Members The Council consists of a chairperson and deputy chairperson, and 15 members and their substitutes, who are nominated for three-year terms. The present term expires on May 14th, 2011.
